Being a
diabetic does not mean that you have to stop enjoying cookies. This Splenda
sugar cookie recipe will help you bake delicious cookies for any occasion on
which you feel a craving for them. They are perfect for holidays, for dinners
with the family, or for whenever you feel like having a cookie.
The
ingredients needed for baking Splenda sugar cookies are the following: one cup
of unsalted butter, three quarters of a cup of Splenda, two large eggs, two
teaspoons of vanilla extract, two ¾ cups of flour, one teaspoon of baking
powder, half a teaspoon of salt, three quarters of a cup of milk powder and two
spoons of warm water. As you can see these are ingredients that you can easily
find at your local store and they are very cheap.
Now for
the directions; first, cream the butter, the vanilla extract and the eggs. Add
the Splenda and keep on blending until you get an even mix. Now in a different
bowl mix salt, flour, the milk powder and the baking powder, and then add this
mix to the creamed butter in thirds. When you are done mixing the two they
should have become dough. If the mixture seems dry, add tablespoons of warm
water until it seems more consistent. Add the tablespoons one by one, to make
sure that you do not add too many. Now it is time to wrap the dough in plastic
wrap, and leave to chill for 30 minutes. Then roll the dough till it’s about a
quarter inch thick and cut it into shapes. Place the cookies on a greased
cookie sheet and bake them in an oven that has been preheated to 325 degrees
for 8 minutes. And there you are, a batch of delicious Splenda sugar cookies
should be ready. Enjoy!
