Soccer – The World Wide Phenomenon

Soccer is a sport that is quickly rising in popularity all over the world. Even in America pro soccer direct programs are showing up. And there is even a soccer league called the Major Soccer League. The MLS is made up of fourteen teams, one of them being from Canada. It is currently in its 16th season. The League is divided into two conferences: Western and Eastern. At the end of each season, the best three teams in each conference meet for the playoffs.
But before you get interested in pro soccer direct, you should probably know what soccer is. Soccer is a team sport, in which the players have to kick a ball into the opposing team’s goal. The game lasts 90 minutes in total (give or take depending on the overtime) and it is divided into two rounds that last 45 minutes each. Soccer is played only with the feet (except for the goal keeper, he can catch the ball in his hands). The goal is a gate so to speak, a rectangular netted shape which is 8 feet tall and 24 feet long. The purpose is to score as many points as possible by kicking the ball past the goal keeper and into the goal.
Pro soccer direct is watched fervently in Europe. In fact it is the most popular sport worldwide. The World Cup is the most watched televised event every four years. And winning the World Cup brings great prestige to the country whose team won. If you are from America and you want to join in on the spectacle, but can’t because European soccer games are not broadcasted, don’t worry, you can always go online and watch a free live stream. This way you can keep up with what’s going on in the world of soccer.
