Throughout
history, there have been certain people that have managed to put their earthly
wisdom into a sentence or paragraphs. These have gone on to become famous
quotes that are still relevant today. There used to be a lot of books filled
with quotes, but nowadays it is a lot easier to find quotes online. There are
dozens of sites filled with thousands of quotes. They are either ordered
alphabetically by the authors name or categorized in regards to what they are
referring to. So if you are looking for some famous quotes, all you have to do
is an online search.
Friedrich
Nietzsche is a philosopher that produced a lot of noteworthy quotes. One might
say that all of his work is quote worthy, but for the purpose of not looking
like a snob, one will shut up. He wrote his philosophical works, keeping his
feet very well planted on the ground, and his unforgiving style speaks the
truth in the only way it can be spoken: harshly. For example the quote: “The
abdomen is the reason why man does not easily take himself for a god”, speaks
of the fear a man feels when he takes on the responsibilities of a god.
Another
great mind that has given some of the most essential theories of our times and
some very famous quotes is Albert Einstein. He doesn’t need much introduction,
but it is noteworthy that even though he was up to his elbows in physics books,
he still had a lot of worldly wisdom. His words express his view of the world:
a clear, uncompromising and curious view. He once said: “I can’t believe that
God plays dice with the universe.” This means that either God has a plan for
everything, looking at it from one point of view, or that God had nothing to do
with the universe, looking at it from another.
