Luis Nazario de Lima was born on 18 September 1976. He is considered the
world’s only “pure” striker. At age 21 and 26 he won the Ballon d’Or. In the
late nineties and early 2000’s Ronaldo was one of the best scorers in the
world. His football career started at Cruzeiro in 1993. He went on to score 12 goals
in 14 matches. Then from 1994 to 1996 he was at PSV Eindhoven. This was his
first foray into the European Leagues. In his first season here he scored
thirty goals, but in the second season he suffered a knee injury, that kept him
from scoring more than a goal each match.
Diego
Armando Maradona is one of those famous players that are living legends. He was
born on 30 October 1960, and he is now retired. He is considered by many to be
the greatest player of all time. He played for Boca Juniors, Argentinos
Juniors, Napoli, Newell’s Old Boys and Sevilla. When playing for Argentina
internationally, he scored thirty-four goals and earned ninety-one caps. He
went on to lead his team to victory in the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Though there
was much more to Maradona than just football skill. He was a controversial
